Salman Khan's Relationships and Personal Life
5 reasons why Salman Khan is still single

With a string of blockbusters, an army of fans and a strong personality, Salman Khan is a force to be reckoned with. He entered the industry as the boy next door, he had a handsome face, a chiseled body and an attitude that screamed confidence, it’s no wonder Salman quickly made his way into our hearts.
While their real-life romance was on point and adorable, Salman’s real-life romance was taking a hit. A series of high-profile failed relationships, controversies and run-ins with the law made his personal life a topic of national interest. While all his contemporaries got married and settled down, Salman Khan refused to get married and is fiercely protective of his personal life. In an interview he said, “I don’t believe in marriage. I think it’s a dying institution.
We Decoded Why Salman Khan Is Still Not Married
1. A failed love life
Salman Khan was in very public relationships with actresses Sangeeta Bijlani and Somy Ali. His most high-profile relationship was with Aishwarya Rai in 1999 when they met on the sets of Chuke Sanam's Hum Dil . The two were the power couple at the time. Their relationship was allegedly overshadowed by Salman's violent behaviour and his actions towards Aishwarya under the influence of alcohol. The relationship eventually ended when he stormed the sets of Chalte Chalte and accused Aishwarya of having an affair with SRK, while he tried to get her off the set. Aishwarya was replaced by Rani Mukerji in the film, and Salman was replaced by Vivek Oberoi in Aishwarya's life as she found solace in her 'Kyun... Ho gaya na?' co-star.

While Aishwarya-Vivek's relationship didn't last long, Salman found solace in newcomer Katrina Kaif.
He launched her career, helped her get her work permit, protected her in the industry, and is said to have even paid her electricity and cell phone bill. While the two never admitted to being in a relationship, it was quite evident that they were involved with each other.
The two also acted in a few films, until a certain Mr. Ranbir Kapoor came into the picture. The two were still dating their respective partners Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan when they got close during the shoot. Deepika broke up with Ranbir alleging that he cheated on her, while Salman and Katrina also broke up quietly. The newly single beauties found solace in each other and started dating, but kept the obvious relationship under wraps.
It was another failed relationship for Salman Khan. While his films were topping the charts and he was raking in all the box office profits, Salman's love life was failing miserably. While the actor has always maintained that he likes being single, one cannot ignore the fact that he has longed for every woman he has ever loved, whether it be Aishwarya or Katrina.
2. An unconventional family
Salman Khan has seen a “broken family” – his father, legendary writer Salim Khan, has two wives; Sushila Charak and Helen. Salim Khan helped establish Helen’s career as a dancer and his inclination towards the younger star annoyed Sushila Charak (who became Salma Khan). He married Helen in 1980. Sushila Charak and her children were extremely upset by this and distanced themselves from their father and Helen. However, Salma Khan decided to accept the presence of his second wife and the family soon became a happy unit.

But in several interviews, Salman has said that he has seen what his mother has been through and perhaps that has led him to lose faith in the marriage.
3. Another broken marriage in the family
If one failed marriage wasn't enough for the family, in 2017, Arbaaz Khan, Salman's younger brother, divorced Malaika Arora, his wife of 19 years. The split left the industry in shock as Arbaaz-Malaika was one of the most stable couples in the country. Both moved on with their lives as Arbaaz found love in Giorgia Andriani and Malaika found solace in Arjun Kapoor. This setback could be another reason for Salman to lose faith in the institution of marriage and that there are everlasting bonds.

4. Salman's unpredictability
Over the years, Salman Khan has shown a volatile and rather unpredictable personality. His presence in the industry has led people in the industry to choose sides and his superiority has only increased with the number of consecutive blows he has landed. He has forged ties with many of his contemporaries but at the same time has also broken them.
At a recent event, he took a dig at Priyanka Chopra for opting out of Bharat to marry Nick Jonas. He also severed his ties with singer Arijit Singh, his mentee Arjun Kapoor and Himesh Reshammiya, Shah Rukh Khan, Vivek Oberoi and many others.

His unpredictability and changeable behaviour have often left his contemporaries confused. There is no denying that messing with Salman Khan can mean detrimental consequences for his career.
5. You have found your own space.
“All Salman needs is Salman.” The 53-year-old star, who is aiming for Dabangg 3 now, has admitted that he has lost faith in the institution of marriage and that it is dying. He seeks companionship but not marriage, he said. Salman has found solace in the space he has created for himself. He seems unfazed by how quickly everyone in the fraternity has calmed down. From his contemporaries to his juniors, most of his co-stars are either married or going to get married.
While the nation still wants to know if Salman will ever get married, it is possible that Salman is counting ahead on the business his film Bharat is going to do when it hits the theatres and would spend a few thousand rupees on his new cycles, painting accessories and Being Human Foundation.
